The tools haven’t caught up to intelligence.

An AI agent sits in a side panel or a terminal and answers one person, one task at a time.

It writes most of the code now (more like all of it). It listens in on our meetings. It reads the ticket, runs the tests, and deploys. Most days, it barely needs a prompt.

Then the answer comes back, and we take it everywhere else: into the thread, the ticket, the next meeting. We write the status update so everyone knows where the work is. We connect the agent to one more tool so it has the context. We ship more than ever with agents, but why do we feel so tired?

The tools we use and the rituals we hold dear were born out of a world centered around human intelligence. The agent doesn’t need a standup to know where the work is. In fact, it knows so much more. It can do far more than we ask of it.

There are big things people want to accomplish, many projects worth pursuing. Being part of a team is a connection we will always cherish. We still have to tell each other what we want, decide what to act on, and agree on what happens next. That happens in conversation, and it’s where the context lives.

What if all it took to unlock the potential of superintelligence was to consider it a teammate, not just an assistant, in the conversation with the rest of us?

What if people could do more than they’ve ever been able to do?
